JAPANESE RESTAURANT
IZAKAYA
JAPANESE CUISINE
FOR SHARING.
In Japan, IZAKAYA restaurants (居酒屋) are the equivalent of French bistros or wine bars. Izakayas are a popular place to drink beer, SHŌCHŪ (distilled spirit) and SAKÉ (rice wine) in the evening. Patrons order hot or cold dishes over the course of the night and share them with friends or colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere.
Otonali means "next door" in Japanese. Our restaurant cultivates the conviviality so dear to Japanese izakayas and is located on Quai Duguay-Trouin, "next door" to our hotel.

A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
PAIRINGS.
Carine, the restaurant manager and sommelière, is an expert at pairing a fine selection of natural wines and sakés with Yasu's cuisine. In our restaurant, sharing and experience hold a special place.
CHEF
Masahiro Sawada
Masahiro Sawada, nicknamed "Masa", is from Hokkaido, Japan - one of the four main islands of the Japanese archipelago. He is the former right-hand man of Fumio Kudaka, a Michelin-starred chef at our restaurant "La Table Breizh Café" in Cancale.
After four years alongside Michel Bras in France and Japan at his restaurant TOYA, Masa nurtures the dream of one day creating a cuisine that embodies this same philosophy.
His passion for nature led him to settle in Brittany - a rich, wild, living land - to continue his journey, always guided by the deep connection between cuisine and nature.
Chef Masa offers innovative Japanese cuisine; the marriage of his talent and his taste for exceptional products invites his clientele on a culinary journey combining Japanese flavors with those of Brittany.
